hi there i just bought a part finshed loco in bits there a few parts missing i think its a nigel gresley i can get plans for 5 but its 71/4 gauge it as a steel boiler and no paper work boiler 7 1/2 x26"and cylinders are 1 5/8 bore and 3 3/4 long wheels 5 3/4 .with it been steel will i be able to get the boiler tested ,any would be great thanks michael

It's not a Nigel Gresley, that valve gear looks decidedly odd. You best bet on the boiler is to join a club whose boiler inspector is qualified for steel boilers. Probably as rare as hen's teeth. Te Southern Fed booklet http://modelengineeringwebsite.com/New_boiler_test_code.html refers.

I don't want to be too pessimistic, but without material certs and welder certs I wouldn't be too hopeful.

I am building a 2-8-0 Nigel Gresley and that looks nothing like what I'm building even if it's in 5". As to what it is well there's a question.
