End mill sharpener

Hi guys, Happy new year to you all.

The other week I was reading a thread on end mill sharpeners, and someone said to whoever was asking the question. Have you checked out the one that Amadeal sell, it's under other machinery.

It looks O.K.but does anyone know anything about this item ? E.g. Not very good or takes an age to set up, brill bit of kit ? Any info from the experts would be great.

Hi Dave

Not obvious how it works. Does it sharpen the edges as well as the ends? It will rely on a decent wheel and a reasonably rigid setup.

Dave, you will need an industrial type tool and cutter grinder, or maybe a surface grinder, If you have one then it should be OK, though I have not had any hands on experience with it. Do you need to sharpen enough end mills to warrant the expense
