Does anyone know of the existence of a 5 inch gauge Clarkson A3 (named 'Spearmint' at the time), built by Clarksons of York and later exported, we belive, to Australia in the mid 1970s? This is a bit of a shot in the dark but it isn't a common model (characteristically it has slide valves) and we would be interested to know whether this engine still exists as we could provide some of its history. We wonder whether it is still in Australia? It was probably in LNER green at the time of export but that may have changed over the years.
If any of our Australian readers know of a Clarkson A3 in their club we would be intersted to hear about it and the owner may be interested in its history.

        Regards
        Diane
