CL-500M QCTP

Hi Forum,

I would like to know if anyone has fitted a Quick Change tool Post to a Clarke CL-500M Lathe. I have a CL-500M that was my Dad's whom passed away a number of years ago. I have over the last few months started to use the Lathe more and more and would like to change the tool post for a new Quick change unit that will take 12mm or 16mm Tooling with Indexable tips.

Any advice and Info on what you used will be a great help to this project.

I'm sure there are various QCTPs that will fit, I'm bumping this to help make sure someone spots it.

I purchased a QCTP for my CL500M, which I havent fitted yet, it will need modifying to fit but will do the job. I bought it from a model engineering show off one of the stalls, I cant even tell you the make, my only criteria was that dimensionally it was similar to the standard tool post centre height. I also found on EBay another standard CL500M tool post which I have tools set in to change over when needed.
