      Chain adjusters.
Some different style chain adjusters I tried. I started off with snail adjusters first, these work great but needed to be huge, so I discarded that idea. Next I folded a couple and turned a round stainless nut, but thought they looked horrible, finally I machined up a couple on the mill. They won out.
The slot was milled wider than the swingarm axle mounts, then bent in and flat under the axle head after the machining to limit the paint scratching when adjusting.
The hardest part was figuring out how to hold them solid while I machined the gap.213456

On a few Japanese bikes I have had, the toolkit contains one spanner of each A/F size. And the bike is designed such that if two spanners are needed to operate a fastener, the A/F sizes at each end are different (so, for example, they use a 14mm bolt head and 17mm nut).

Hence, making the lock nuts on the adjusters a different spanner size to the adjusting bolt could be a homage to the clever Japanese.
