      I found this place on the netty and the guy has done a bucketload of stuff

      Can anyone tell me the CAD program he has used just by looking at the plans he has produced?

              Julius does seem a prolific designer & CAD user.

              I assume he's still active, as his designs seem to pop up quite regularly on MEW (Model Engineering Website) – so presumably David Carpenter is in contact with him.

                Yes, Solidworks. He has a traction engine drawn on the net with a note indicating solidworks 2011. That is in keeping with the basic rendering shown.

                PS. As an observation, I personally hate drawings with lots of parts detailed on them – one part = one drawing in my book.
