Hi All,
I noticed that Bolton Steam Museum have their engines running on steam this weekend. (Dec 29th & 30th) From their website it looks like an interesting place to visit. I have not visited this museum but plan to do so this weekend.

Les and anyone else I would strongly advise it, it is excellent you can get close to the engines and the volunteers know what they are talking about

Going on Saturday with a car full of lads from the Southe Cheshire ME club.

For any one with an interestes in stationary engines it's steaming days are a must visit events.

I'll be there this weekend. Probably on Sunday. If you visit and you are local you could always consider joining the society, it's only £15 and they don't get any help from public funds.

I visited a couple of months ago with the sole purpose of seeing Peter Southworths model of "Agnes", a Pollit & Wigzell tandem compound mill engine.

I am building the exact same model and it was very inspiring to see a completed one built to such a high standard.

There is also a truly remarkable model of the full sized engine at Bancroft mill in Barnoldswick on display at Bolton.
