File up a couple of new segments from copper or brass, fix them using epoxy putty, skim between centres and reconnect the wires (their tails seem to be there).
Or do what I did – replace the motor with a layshaft and a pulley (turned on the mill) and run the lathe using an old motor. Once running make a few stepped pulleys (I made 2 and 3 step ones for six speeds which became twelve with back gear).
