220 volt ac motor

Hi to all

Need help/advice

Would like to be able to reverse my lathe motor sorry makers name has worn off

there are three terminals inside the motor 1 2 and 4 which can be used

at the moment 1 has brown wire connected nothing on 2 and blue on 4 I do have a drum switch

so any help of how to wire this would be great

Is the drum reverser a Dewhurst ? If so then the wiring diagram is easy. A picture of the motor and a rough idea as to age. There should be 4 wires 2 for start and 2 for run but there may be an internal connection. one common code is red and black for run and yellow and blue for start. Make sure you have a good earth on the motor. Noel.
