My other half got me my first air compressor for Christmas (by "coincidence" just the one I wanted).

The rather sparse instructions state that it should be run with SAE 30 oil, which I duly ordered from Amazon. After a two week wait the oil arrived, but instead of SAE 30 it says on the container "Compressor oil ISO-100".

Is this a compatable oil, ie the same oil but a new (EU) name, and safe to use? Or should I send it back? Obviously I don't want to run a brand new compressor with the wrong oil.

I've tried to contact the Amazon marketplace seller for information, but no reply to date.

I have no idea about the oil designation you have obtained but Machine Mart do an SAE 30 compressor oil. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-sae30-compressor-oil-1-litre/
