How to remake this?

First off a big hello to you all,

im on my last attempt really, what it is i play airsoft (like paintballing but better…) anyway. my pistol magazines use a small plastic bb pusher (pic 1)

and they keep breaking they have to slide down the mag and the little nub catches a bit of metal now sometimes they slip and when they do they are so brital they snap and render them no good!

now what it is i was wondering would someone be able to cast me some more of these in plastic or metal as i have no idea how to do it my self,

all too i am very handy and if someone could point me in the direction of a kit to buy were i can make silicone moulds and then suggest a hard resin plastic to use to make them i would give it ago,

Hi dave sorry i didnt see the link button

i can get you more pictures if you like all it is is a 6mm round rod with a nub that sticks out just off center

me and the father-in-law are trying to put something together on a lathe but its really taking some doing… if i had some silicon molds i could just keep remaking them when i needed it would be fantastic.

im going to be really dumb now and say thank you for the link but could you narrow it down sorry to be a pain ive just never done any casting or moulding

Hi Simon

It's worth looking at the http://www.hobby.uk.com website as well. They do the silicone rubber for making the moulds as well as various casting resins that you could use – I'd try Alumilite as it's supposed to be quick setting, gives a good result and is proof against, model engine fuels and other chemicals so reasonably resistant and robust.You might also consider making the part from the castable metal that is used for the model soldiers. That's in the catalogue as well but you should find that on the Tiranti site as well. If you've got a Hobbycraft store near you it would be worth a visit, as I saw the silicone mould material in the store by me last weekend and I'm sure that they will have some castable resins that you could try.
