I have just started my super simplex and am waiting the delivery of some laser cut frames in 3mm so my question which is the most important measurement between frames, outside frames or frame centre line, I only ask because originally the drawing spec is 1/8 and I know there is only a bit in it i thought I would ask thanks.

I always maintain the outside dimension, usually 4.375 ". That way the cylinders and valve gear are in the designed position. In reality it is only 7 thou a side so won't make a big difference.

              Hi Mike

Michael is correct you must use the outside dimension to keep parts in line also you will find the end float on the axles will be wrong.

Stan, thanks for that confirmation I know it doesn't seem much but if I cut the stretchers on the mill which has a DRO it should be fairly close. Thanks again
