Small Injectors

I am currently building a 5 inch gauge Bagnall 'Brick' in 1/5th scale.

It is calculated to require 2.6oz of water per minute to be running at a sedate 5 mph which is our club's normal passenger running speed.

Are there any live steam injectors available that has a small feed volume? So that it could be left on continuously to keep the boiler water level constant with another injector to top it up.

there is no requirement in miniature to have such a small injector so it can be left on. whilst 4 oz pm and 8 oz pm injector designs are available and have been made, the smallest practicable size is really 12 oz pm for most locos. try polly engineering and see if you can get a chiverton injector of this size as they are the best commercially available IMHO (usual disclaimer). i make my own so dont have to worry!

Julian Atkins: Thank you very much for the reply I shall look into the Chiverton Injectors as so far several people have informed me about their reliability.

Grizzly Bear: Thanks also for that web link because that throws more light onto the unusual engine, so far I have drawn her up by scaling up an 16mm Archangel Model and then corrected the gauge for a scale 1ft 8 inch.
