I would have thought that the manual would have had a few useful 'links' showing how to use it ! You could write to the manufacturer for advice but they are likely to reply by chain mail.

It will cut perfectly well, just needs the speed increased.

You sure its not an electric saw, either the battery is flat, or its a mains one, and they forgot to give you the plug, There's a bloke it Christchurch NZ who has had one for many years, his has a three pin plug (female), on a short flex. Ian S C

Had thought about buying one of those but it was stretching my budget too far and besides the company couldn't or wouldn't supply the figures for the elastic limit of the blade .

You're all missing the point – it's an electric chainsaw, probably three phase, it just needs to be plugged in.

The only chainsore I've got is from this one around my ankle…

By the way mine is not electric, it is powered by Custard Creames.

Hi John, was it advertised as an engineers chainsaw? Because I reckon it's a fake if it was. It must be about 99 feet to short, and that might be why it's not working properly.

If it is a surveyors one, then it's still about 65 feet to short.
