While searching for some information on my Soba rotary table (specifically about the indexing plates – I got it second hand) I found and downloaded some instructions for the Vertex version (which looks identical)

I was a bit surprised to discover the tables that show which plates and how many holes etc had quite a few errors – luckily before I had started to use them!

I now have the 'official' information send from Soba and these tables are correct but pity any individual who uses the Vertex versions…

If anyone wants details of the errors I can supply them?

Not hard to work it out yourself really but if the manufacturer supplies a table to save you doing this you would think they would have checked it a bit more carefully…

I guess it happens either through typos, misreading, or clculation mistakes. I found an error in the Elliott dividing head tables wrt the S&B or Machinery handbook ones. I think it was an 8 instead of 6 so probably due to someone's bad handwriting or just a smudge on some paper. However I have no idea where i wrote down the details so suggest you post here so at least there is some chance of people finding out. Probably best to always check now everyone has a computer.

            The errors are shown below?

            7 holes are 12 18/21 not 12 8/21
            13 holes are 6 36/39 not 6 30/39
            40 holes are 2 5/20 not 2 15/20
            60 holes are 1 10/20 not 1 1/20

Soba sent me their manual which appears to be correct, I could upload it
but it looks like my choices are a URL or a picture and it's a PDF

I can email it if people ask?

            Cheers
