Not sure where this belongs.

Serviced one of machines at work had to change 40 1.5" Ali guidepins.

Only a couple had any wear worst will need 1/4"turned off it to be good.

Boss asks if I can use them for home.

Nearly ran to car with them before he changed his mind

Sorry, but I've got to ask – if only a couple had any signs of wear and another just needed a bit removed – why did you have to change all forty? (Except, of course, as a means to obtain a large amount of aluminium? )

machine is prototype from states and coy that built it wanted it doing.

Also wanted pics and report of condition of various parts to help them with determiningservice schedules etc
