Question about MEW Digital content

I was looking at MEW digital issue #12 (Aug-Sep 1992) and the article: "A Fret Saw / Filing Machine."

There is a statement that: "The drawings for this machine are our free pull-out plan in this issue."

The pull-out is not in the digital issue. I am looking at a selection of plans for a filing machine and would like to evaluate this approach.

Is the plan available from another venue?

Have a look at issue 161 there is the start of an article by Harold Hall making a filing machine. Aslo look at this link for a info on the forum http://www.model-engineer.co.uk/forums/postings.asp?th=40481

Harold Hall did a filing machine a while back.

If you look at the covers of MEW in the digital issues, you will see it.

I think it may have been blue.

Thanks JohnF & David Clark. I have Harold Hall's series – actually in hard copy before I went digital.

Would like to see the other one if possible, that's all.

Dunc's original question raises a very fair point.

The archive of Digital Issues should really include copies of any "free" plans that were included with the paper publication.

If the publishers no longer have paper copies, or the facility to scan them; then I'm sure this community could help.

If anyone would like to scan the early plans, please contact me.

I can add them to the website although not to the digital issues.

The office no longer have copies. and mine are bound into the magazines.

This is why we no longer give free plans, (we do but I can't say free because they are numbered into the page system). To ensure they are including in the digital issues they are including in the page numbering system so they are included. This is also why the index is now numbered, traditionally it was not. The index is included because it is in the page numbering system.
