Peristaltic Pumps

I am looking for a supplier of a length of silicon rubber tubing for a peristaltic pump 12 mm OD x 1.5mm wall thickness. The only suppliers I have found so far seem too expensive (£24 for a short length). Any ideas chaps and ladies.

If 13mm 2mm thickness tube will do, the bay has it for £6.94 a metre.

I change peristaltic tubes on a regular basis as they are used in dosing pumps which run 24/7, plain silicon tube doesnt last long as it can stick together inside and it splits.

PM me and I maybe able to find you what you need from a slightly different material.

It's important to know exactly what is being pumped, anything associated with foodstuffs, pharmaceutical products, etc obviously have all sorts of regulations. However, I would have expected a) the OP to have stated if it were for such use, and b) to have known where to get it i.e. not by asking on a model forum.

Even so, there is still an enormous range of possible constraints. It would be well worth checking out the Tygon range of products (Saint-Gobain), which includes specific applications for peristaltic pumps. The catalogue can be found at

Lab supply companies can usually supply Tygon, but typically it's not cheap (at least here in Oz).

Thanks as usual to all responders. The tube is for an older Swiss made pump connected to a Parvalux geared motor with speed control which seems ideal for a low volume coolant pump for my mill. The setup will be similar to my old pump (which gave up the ghost after 6 years of abuse !!) but this time I will pre filter the coolant – any ideas on that?

A place that may have suitable tube is a garden shop that has parts for a liquid lawn fertilizer trolley.

Hi,

I have a load of 10mm x 2mm bore bright red, I know it is silicon tubing and believe it is medical grade. If you could make that do you can have a couple of meters FOC.
