Where is best place to get pce of 5.5" x 4" long rd steel?
Need to make adaptor plate and metal supermarket quoted 35 + vat.
That's a big lump of steel – about 12kg(?). Price doesn't sound silly…
went to local engineering firm and got of 6" x5" for tenner.
was all rusty not square cut and badly dinged but will clean up nicely.
