Help needed from a kind engineer for project

Hi all,

I really need someone out there kind enough to help me lathe some aluminium into a simple cup. One cup with m36x2 outside thread and one cup with a m36x2 outside thread. I am stuck and no local engineers will help me unless I place a ridiculously expensive order. Please PM or reply if you can assist me. I know it’s cheeky to ask but I always remember my dad helping individuals when he could with machining.

Hi James,

I'm probably not your man as I have only just started to get my teeth into screw cutting (no pun intended). You ask for two of the same – was one of those meant as internal thread?

Anyway, it will probably help your cause if you tell us where you're based as it's always easier for someone to help out if they're local.
