A half horse power motor would consume 375Wh during each hour (units kept as Wh for comparison)

An electric car would consume 30,000Wh while travelling that 60 miles at 500Wh/mile, which is quite a high value as some EVs use less than half that amount

So not quite as amazing when one understands the units!

..with aoplogies for my sloppy nomenclature..

According to wikipedia " a small car might need only 10–15 horsepower (7.5–11.2 kW) to cruise at 60 mph "

So assume it's 15->20KW for a heavier car for 60 mph and we're getting close to my own car's reports and Maurice's figures above.

As an aside the projected performance of Lucid Motors flagship vehicle is that it will be given a 1080HP electric motor set for daft acceleration but you don't need to eat electrons for long to get a target speed. Fit one of those on your Super 7 for a decent depth of cut . If Tesla ever get around to building their Roadster it's supposed to be 1340HP or 1000KW motor power – even more daft for a road legal vehicle.

Well done MT , using the correct units makes it credible.
