Cup wheels

I have picked up a Clarkson MK1 which arrived today. Although it's in very good condition I'm going to strip it down, clean it up and give it a new coat of paint. Not having done any cutter regrinding before I was wondering what the recommendations are for the type and grade of cup wheel for HSS and Carbide. I use rotabroach cutters quite a bit as well and would like to be able to sharpen them too.

You will get away with a saucer shape wheel for most jobs grinding flutes and ends. Add to that a smallish diameter "Elastic" 1.5mm thick slitting wheel to gash the ends of slot drills and end mills. Make follow stylus from pieces of old hacksaw blade. After a little practice it becomes second nature to twist the end mill along the follow stylus and move the table along. Enjoy using your new machine.

I always use white aloxite cup wheels 100 grit and 150 grit for HSS and a diamond wheel for carbide.

Thanks guys. I managed to get a pdf copy of one of the Clarkson manuals with the charts as well. Just need to search around to find a supplier.
