Centralising work on ‘stepper driven’ rotary table?

The eccentric on the table that started this thread does not have enough eccentricity to disengage the pinion.

I asked originally because I have a free rotating table I made a while ago and I got used to centralising work in a few moments so using the stepper came as a culture shock. Your divider is brilliant though!

Ian, what is your stepper motor like? On my Steve Ward version RT I used a stepper with a double-ended shaft so that I can fit a handle and turn the table manually. And it certainly makes things easy (need to remove power first).

This size of stepper isn't that expensive on eBay so it might pay you to change yours.
