I remember when my Dad bought an outboard motor for his dinghy and it wouldn’t run properly.   So, he took it to work and clamped it to the side of a water bath , and adjusted the components.   When it eventually started properly, it swamped the workshop!   It was a British Anzani, this would have been about 1968.

          Regards
          Geoff

I know I’m about to be castigated for doing it, but we were so heartbroken at the loss of such an endearing family member, Zan was given full burial at the local depot WITHOUT having the indignity of his entrails being ripped out after the cause of the non communication lines were found. Bloody printed tracks/wireing, and before any say “conductive silver inks” I used to earn a living in the electronics sector.

Dead is Dead, trust me I’m a Yorkshireman.

                Regards  Ian.

Sorry guys for the highjack, put it down to the mourning process.

There is an interesting book for sale: ”  Boxer-, reihen- und V- motoren als modell ”  from Hubert W.Schillings   Isbn 3-88180-133-2.
On page 12 You wil find some (breef)  informatin and drawings of a Norton Manx model., 24 mm  bore and 22 mm stroke. There is lots of information on I-C engine building in German language.
I whish you succes with your engine.
                  Regards, Johan van Zanten.
