I realise that Steve Goodbody has been absent from these shores for a good few years, but North Yorkshire in the MIDLANDS. Really, come on Mr Editor, surely that was worthy of the blue pencil

Midlands of what? Darlington is only half way up the British Isles but as it’s on an edge maybe Leeds would be a better example.
