I often use my electrolysis bath to remove paint and rust, indeed I have a full 5" chassis in there right now…but lastnight, dont ask me why, I left a set of wheels and axle in with the polarity reversed! I had it set to super high amps! 200 years of rust in 10 hours…I could cry….

          Thanks for the dire warning!

How bad is it really? Have you tried reversing the polarity of the neutron (OK electron) flow yet?

Metals and hydrogen are electro positive and come off at the cathode.

That method of reversing the polarity is handy if you want a new component to quickly match a similar old one on an old bit of machinery. I sometimes make replacement parts for vintage machinery for our museum, and after I'v finished, I often have difficulty finding which is the new bit. Under normal circumstances it's a bit of a disaster, ooh well start again. Ian S C
