Hello to all from Chris in Huddersfield!

It took me a while to realise my subscription to MEW digital comes with forum membership…

Anyway, here I am – interested mainly in machine refurbishment and machining in general, especially CNC.

In my little workshop I currently have:

Lathes – Denford Orac, Emco compact 5

Mills – Denford Novamill, Isel 3040

TIG welder (more recent acquisition – still learning how to use it)

and of course the usual mish-mash of accessories, hand tools, instruments, etc. one collects over the years.

My current project is changing the Denford Orac CNC lathe from Mach3 to Centroid Acorn with a touchscreen and fitting a high-resolution spindle encoder on it for precision threading. Also hoping to get thr automatic tool changer to work.

Welcome Chris, as the other Chris says, please post some pictures, especially the Isel, I've not heard of that one.
