Change display font size?

Hi, I would have expected this to have been asked previously but I guess my search skills are somewhat lacking.

I can't find a way to get a larger font?

I'm on an older 14 inch screen laptop and 8 (?) point font is just too difficult to see.

I couldn't find anything in settings or search or Firefox setting for specific web sites.

I'm sure it's too simple for most but not for me obviously

Thanks in advance for any help

Oh, I'm running Mint (Ubuntu/Linux) not MAC or Windoze

Can you select the text then copy and past into something that allows you to change the font size. A word processor for instance.

If your Firefox is reasonably recent then there is a funny symbol of 3 horizontal bars – clicking on this opens preferences just click on general (tho it normally opens in this) and go down to bottom of page under Language and Appearance – change default zoom but tick zoom text only

(or you could just change default font) – not all pages will display correctly tho – the dominant advertising meme has thrown away the original idea of HTML in that it was the user who choose how the info was displayed not the 16year old nerd who designed the page based on their teenage vision.

In Firefox use the Zoom function from the View menu. It will allow you to set the size of the page and this will be remembered for each site visited. If you have not got the menu bar showing go to the three bar icon top right and click on the menu that drops down click Customize. On the customize page at the bottom click the Toolbars button and then tick the menu bar.

For completion's sake:

Ctrl + (control and +) will zoom in
Ctrl – (control and -) will zoom out.
Ctrl 0 (control and zero) will restore the default size.

Additionally, Ctrl + mouse scroll-wheel fwd and backward achieves font size change.
