Flexispeed Spindle Thread

I have noticed several Flexispeed attachments being advertised on e-bay with a 3/4" BSF thread. My Flexispeed has a 1/2" thread.

Does anyone know whether there was more than one size of spindle on these machines?

A lot of people have made replacement spindles so all sorts of sizes occur.
The manual says 1/2" 16tpi for the Meteor II.

That sounds logical; unless, I suppose, they are simply wrongly described.
