        Hi all,

I'm in the process of fitting anti-backlash nuts to Myford VMB mill. I have made additional nuts from phosphor bronze (difficult stuff to machine I found).

On re-assembly it occured to me that on the sides of the dovetail slide ways that have a gib strip, the creasing point will inject crease behind the gib strip. Some might flow around it but not much.

Would you expect a hole in the gib strip to line up with the greasing nipple. If so how to prevent grease still just spreading out behing the gib strip and not getting on the bearing surfaces?

        Thanks
