I'm looking for some M10 sockets cap bolts stainless but with a 5 or 6mm alwn key hole?
Any ideas?
Thanks.
M10 button head capscrews are 6mm hex.
I have used "low head" cap screws, I think they were 7mm hex
Needs to be socket cap so I can hold it in a collet, but thanks.
These people do one size smaller head stainless cap heads so you get an M8 (6mm hex) head on a M10 cap head
Good one Jason…, but brother, you'd better really need one, judging by the prices (if they are 1-piece prices)

Screwfix, Toolstation or Orbital fasteners, nothing much to choose between them for price
Mick do any of them do small headed ones? think they all have standard 8mm hex.
Could you turn/shorten them (Button head screws) using a Lantern Chuck?
(There you are; another project to put off doing the original one!)

Don't expect the hex to be exactly concentric with the thread. And the fasteners from Jason B's message are not just small heads, they are fine thread (1mm pitch instead of 1.25) which helps to explain the higher price.
Regards, Tim
Start with a grub screw, add a 'head' made from drilled and tapped bar…
Thanks for the replies and the link, I think I'm just going to make a 'special' washer for a M6 button head. Thanks
The plan was to have a M6 bolt (made from an M10) but with a bigger head with a 6mm Allen key hole.
