        Morning all,

The picture above is one of a 5 speed Meddings Bench drill. (not mine I might add)

I want to get hold of details of this type of Meddings and hopefully a manual or a parts list.

If there is anybody out there who can help me out I'd be most grateful.

        Len. P.

Thanks for your info Thor but I had already covered those links.

They refer to the more modern Meddings drills where most of the head is fabricated from sheet steel.

They don't go for many castings nowadays in fact their latest drills look like they have left style behind!!!

            Len.

              There are no spare parts.

              Everything inside it is needed.

Seriously, got a manual for the 10 speed which looks identical, just has a two speed gearbox under the top cover.

                Somewhere,

Mind you I need to dig it out as I'm selling my Meddings articulated arm drilling machine very shortly

                  John,

One like yours that I was tracking on Ebay recently (you probably saw it) went for about £450, I stand to be corrected on that price.

I turned down a 10 speed floor standing Meddings recently (£200)

                  I was kicking myself afterwards.

                    Meddings articulated arm drilling machine

sounds very specialised. Do articulated arms need a lot of drilling? maybe not which is why you are selling the special drill.teeth

They are a poor mans radial arm drill. By using a short arm and an extra column tube the head is able to reach anywhere on a 24" square table

Very versatile, that versatile for 8 years it has been a shelf !! Space has now become more important.

MG 9 grinder and proper T&C Grinder to go as we'll.

                      new lathe and mill coming

Has anyone watched Men In Black 3? The scene in the 10 pin bowling, I am sure the drill in the office is a meddings?? Just saying that maybe MiB could help?

                          Andy.
