      Good morning,

I have a 125 – 150mm Dickson style QCTP from Warco, and they've been "out of stock" of compatible tool holders for many months. Has anyone sourced spare tool holders for said QCTP from elsewhere? Presumably they're sourced from the Far East, but also supplied to other machine tool suppliers?

I have bought toolholders from a few places, some very expensive ones amongst them. None fitted and all where returned.

I then tried one from RDG and the fit was good so I bought a few more. May have hit on a lucky batch ? The finish on the RDG stuff is adequate for practical purposes and they fit my genuine Dickson toolpost.

I have had the items from RDG and they fit my WM280.

Just had a look and they don't seem to be listed at RDG now.

            I seem to recall they are/were described as T51 ( ? ) with a 16mm slot.

But you would need to verify that with RDG themselves.

            D.

Same issue here with Warco. Had my lathe for two years and never been found extra toolholder in stock. I have searched for extra tool holders but find it impossible to be sure I have found an alternative. I continue my search.

Thanks for the info' so far.

T51 looks promising, but dimensions do seem to vary. For example: 125 -150 in the title, but 90 – 115 in the detail, so who knows?
