No wiring diagram stuck inside the box cover?

Single phase or phase? The pic shows two overload relays does the mill have a coolant pump or a power feed?

What a mess. Looks like there is a 3-phase cable sticking up top right of the lower relay except that the colours are black brown blue rather than black brown grey.

It looks to me like power feed wiring – contactor, two overloads and a switch. If I were you I'd rip it out and start from scratch. It's not a complicated scheme. I'm sure if you search for a generic power feed schematic (Bridgeport?) you'll find something.

As Andy says You have 1×3 pole contactor supplying power via disconnected Grey, Green, Yellow wires to 2x3p overload units.

From this it seems there are 2 motors being fed from the overload units, perhaps the Br,Bk,Blu,g/y are the 3 phase power supply ? but using incorrect colour cores.

Or they may be a motor feed so need to be connected to the overload that matches the overload setting range from the motor FLC stated on the motor plate.

There are 3 black wires with white markers shown at the top right of the picture, do they go to a motor ? (suds pump ?) perhaps connect to the closest o/load unit.

Where do the 3 red wires shown at the bottom of picture go to and come from ? (spindle motor ?)

There is evidence of a flashover to earth from term 4 on the lower o/load so that unit may need replacing.

If you can identify where cables come from and number of motors and state if 3 phase more help may be forthcoming.

This may be a stupid question but have you tried searching the internet for manuals, there is an example here but whether it is relevant to your mill I have no idea nor whether it contains wiring diagrams.

                    PS

Can you give a rough indication as to where you live cause there might be somebody near enough that would be willing to come over and help you.

                    edit for PS

I have the Erskine circuit diagram for Bpt power feed.

Some backlground information might also be helpful. Was it supplied to you in this condition ? Has it been working and then stopped working and you removed all of the wires for some reason ?

                        Les.

Following on from Les's post do you have a model number and possibly an idea of when it was manufactured as a quick trawl through the net has shown up a large range of Induma machines, a snapshot can be seen here.
