ultra sonic cleaner

I am looking to buy an cleaner and have been looking at this one has anyone had any experience with this brand

Mostly depends on how big the stuff is you want to clean and how deep your pockets are. Ive got one about a third of the size that looks very similar (machine DRO) and has been ok for about ten years.

It also does not have a proper power switch which would be a big no for me.

Greetings Delboy, I bought mine, about the same size from Machine DRO about 2 years ago, looks about the same size, works well, and they sell all the cleaning solutions as well.

Machine DRO is part of the Allendale Group, the ultrasonic cleaners are now shown under Allendale Ultrasonics.

Many different sizes available.

Thank you for that I found one a little dearer with a fuse protection on the machine.

It is this ONE it also has a gentle button and on for degassing. It looks identical to a Creworks of the same size.

The 6Ltr size is ideal for the majority of what I will need to clean, as usual it does not matter how big a machine you buy there will always be something that will not fit, but I can live with that small problem (or should that be bigger problem lol)

Most of the advertisements for these show identical models with different branding.  Most are made in China.  They all seem to advertise them for cleaning glasses amongst other things.  I made the mistake of cleaning my glasses in one once,  It stripped half the coating  off the lenses!

If you are buying it from Amazon you have 30 days to return it and get a refund if it doesn’t perform satisfactorily or is faulty.

I have been thinking of getting one of these for sometime. A 3L model would best suit my needs, but I would prefer to have one with dial controls.

Has anyone had experience of this type of ultra-sonic cleaner?

Hi Gray, I was looking at some on Amazon, and few of them have dial controls, from cheap to more expensive. Amazon Digital-Ultrasonic. I’ve only got a little fairly basic cheap one that I got from Maplin’s many moons ago, which does small things to varying results, and I keep thinking of getting a 3L one, which I might do with next months budget.

Hi Gray, yes I have an analogue Creworks of 2.8l. with chunky dials and clockwork timer – can’t fault it, the mechanism / switches all feel positive and robust and everything has worked as it should for the ?18months I’ve owned it.

It has a separate on/off switch at the rear and uses a ‘kettle-style’ socket/lead.

‘Better than expected’.
