I’ve watched a couple of videos recently where a solid carbide boring bars are being used. What is the advantage over regular steel ones? Clearly they’ll be more expensive, and I’m guessing they provide better rigidity.

Thank you Michael, but I guess there’s a trade off with bending strength?
