I have just got around to making this cover. Easy and well worth doing, prevents swarf clogging up the tee slots.smiley.

A neat jobthumbs up, I notice on YouTube videos that some people cover their milling tables to keep them protected, I regard a machine table as a reference surface and should be treated with the same care as a surface plate, others obviously do not and clatter spanners and other items on the table, this is sure to mark the table and will require attention if accuracy is not to be compromised.

I found some semi-rigid plastic sheet, about 1mm thick which seems to do the job nicely. Now then my Learned Friends, don't be too harsh on me for using a few chopped-off bits of angle iron to hold my new vise down, I'll make some decent ones when I can get off my crutches sad
