USA subscriber , but I have no number

I paid for a subscription with Express Mag. Finally got an issue,

but seem not to have a subscriber number. How can this be?

Why is it so difficult to subscribe to your magazine?  I don’t even know how to contact you. This is not a pleasant experience. A subscription even from a martian should be a tidy affair. The account should be automatic , relevant ‘numbers’  automatic, verifications automatic. Contacting your staff should take about 30 seconds.

You don’t  even know who I am. Yet I am Mr. Subscriber, or am I ?  I have subscribed to magazines in other countries. They came to my mailbox with a real label  addressed to me. Why is this so hard?
