Hello, has anyone got contact details for the indoor stall at Rufforth autojumble that sells short lengths of various grades of hex and round steel and ss etc. Thank you. Jonathan.

Did he pack in as retired or is it just Rufforth that he no longer attends?

I had a lots of metal from him in the past and his prices were very reasonable

He retired, he used to do the Rufforth and Newark autojumbles but then suddenly stopped and decided to sell only from his premises. The last time I saw him (late 2019 early 2020) he was selling off stock cheap. I asked why and he said he was in his 70's and couldn't be bothered with the early mornings and cold weather anymore. A pity because they where a nice, polite couple and as you say his prices where very reasonable. I've forgot his name, hope he is well.

Definitive answer. The man & his wife who had this stall. The man died on his way home from doing i think the Newark jumble.

His wife stopped doing it. There Son who is a welder by trade decided to take on the Busness. I bought quite a bit of stock from him. Great guy. I had his card in my wallet for over a year. Can i find it. I have looked high & low. Sorry. I think it was something like Barton metal supplies. He is from Doncaster. I guess he is still on the go as last time i saw him at Rufforth he had stacks of metals & plastics.

I have tried looking on the net but found nothing.

                  Steve.

Eureka. After searching half the house & my workshop i came back to square one & looked again in my wallet. Hidden in the back was this. That's your man. He is on ebay.

                    Steve.

No problem. I spoke to that guy for ages one time at Rufforth. He was there with his wife. He said he had decided to do the selling & packed in his welding job. He also said he was stocking much more materials than his Dad did. Most of his barstock was in i think 300mm lengths. I bought some delrin bar & stainless bar. He had lots of other stock too , like sheet metals & meshes.

                        Regards. Steve.

I just ordered another lot of Whit stainless 303 hex from him using ebay, very reasonable price and the quality is good, will continue to use him.

I was searching for Blenco_Metals, it is actually Blenco-Metals, makes all the difference.

                                Thanks
