Hello every one, I've just joined up and looking forward to reading a great many informative and interesting posts.

I have recently changed my lathe from a Chester 918 back to my original make of a Myford, an ML7 this time, as opposed to my original Super 7B PXF. Circumstances in life change, so the ML7 will be here for many years to come.

I started to make a nice simple wobble plate engine on the Chester but never got it completed, I still have it so it will be my first project.

Machining was not my expertise, so may need some help and advice from you good people at times.

        Phillip.

Learning is the best bit, and luckily it never ends.

                Welcome

                  Welcome to the Forum.

You are obviously experienced, having owned a succession of lathes.

But we all try something new from time to time.

(My last project was watchmaking by my standards, tapping 10 BA holes to secure some 0.100" x 0..180" angle, (milled to size after bending some 23 gauge sheet steel )

One of the next jobs is going to be reaming a 5/8" hole!, but in a big block of steel.

Howard   WHY do I only spot the typos after hitting "Post"?

Hello Philip & welcome. I hope your project comes on well. You could always post the odd picture as you go.

                    Steve.
