      Here in Oz, a 'tool' is a derogatory term used for what people in the old dart might call a 'muppet' – same meaning.

      So apart from the fact that some of us in the antipodes might raise their eyebrows and give a wry smile at the thread title, imagine the chargrin of the people who work at the local company named 'Total Tools'.

      To the contrary we have another local bulk hardware merchandiser named 'Bunnings'. To their credit, they do have a policy of hiring older people (compared to the 'opposition'  ) thus one can often be served by a semi-retired ex trades-person who actually knows what they are talking about.

      To keep on topic, a Dremel cut-off tool mounted in a mill spindle is quite useful to grind a small chip breaker groove into a HSS lathe tool. I even tried this method to cut a tiny longtitudinal groove into a 1.5mm parting tool (topside) and it works nicely to fold the chips inward as they form.
