Hello all.

Need some help if possible.

Are the union nuts and nipples used for normal fitting the same as you would use to connect an injector?

Also.

are both horizontal and vertical injectors the same in terms of performance?

Since found out the following, not sure if its correct but..

Steam inlet and outlet are normally the flat type, water feed can be coned or flat, depends on the injector..

Regards the performance of the injector i don't think it makes any differance.

On LSM injectors all ports have a flat type adaptor fitting where the tube is soldered to the fitting. Photo of injector with 5/16" tube fittings shown below.

Note: They are advertised as used with 5/16" pipe which is technically incorrect because pipe is specified by a nominal bore and not its outside diameter. Tube is specified by its OD and these injector adaptors have a 5/16" bore. (Sorry about the rave)
