      Hello all,

My name is James and I have taken up model engineering in the last two years, fitting it in as I can around kids and work.

My main interest is in steam locos, I presently have a 5 inch gauge A4 which requires a fair bit if TLC but suits my needs.
I also work on and off on my fathers locos.

Presently in the process of acquiring a few small bits of workshop equipment so that I can work from home on my project.

Look forward to chatting to others and getting a few tips and pointers from here.

      James

Hi James, the Thornbury Model Engineering Exhibition is 17/18/19th August. Not a million miles from Hampshire and a really well run and popular show full of like minded model engineers. I'm sure you would find it very enjoyable, stuff for the kids to see too!

            Shaun.

                Hi all,

I’m from Andover to be exact.

Presently my machinery is not a lot as most of it is tools, welding gear, compressors and the such like.
I have access to lathes, drills and a mill which I use on and off.

Looking for a lathe presently which a lot of members have given me very helpful advice on.

A lot of work I do (for enjoyment) is fabrication and after inheriting a loco which needs some TLC I’d like to do it myself and improve my somewhat agricultural machining skill set.
