We have 1937 pitch pine doors in our house. I had to take 3/8" off one when I tiled the bathroom, the smell was gorgeous.

Much used in church joinery but not particularly durable outside.

Part of the lockdown anti-boredom 'activity' has been watching a number of boat-building Youtube videos. Almost all rip their frames and planking from very large milled pieces and I would have thought the offcuts from these would have been ideal for the repair needed. Local boatyard, perhaps?
