Hi all I looking for information on the Early Colchester Bantam around 1930s on how the cross feed nut was secured

there is a 0.500 inch  thru hole in the cross slide but no visible way of clamping the nut. The top surface has slightly raise boss on one side of the hole the nut spigot sit almost flush with the top surface and there is a taped hole in the nut. but putting a thick washer and a counter sunk screw would do the job but it does not look right not sure what the taped hole is for may be to hold down a locking washer?  . So a picture of an existing one showing how it was assembled would be really good.

      Thanks in advance

      Kim
