        Hi,

Does any knowledgeable person happen to know the specs of the threads of the top and cross slide screws? They are trapezoidal but I'm not sure of the sizing.

The plan is to make some new nuts myself…..

        Matt

It might be an idea to use your existing nuts, put a slit down one side of the nut and add a pinch bolt ? – Maybe not enough metal to do that ?

The topslide has that feature already (Std o the VSL) It can be adjusted whilst in the lathe so a nice feature. I actually want to make a new set for some castings I have.

The cross slide is nut is very slim and there is no realy way of doing this mod.

            Matt
