Hi my name is Mike, I am new to model engineering but have experience in automation as a electrical mechanical engineer.

My new interest is live steam. Mainly for powering anything on wheels or water.I have a small bench top milling machine and lathe. I am currently building a Stuart 10 v from castings and rather pleased with the outcome. As I come from a development engineering background l m already looking to see if  there’s ways to improve it, bearings etc.

The question I have is can anyone point me in the direction of a good set of steam truck plans including engine, as I feel this is where I want to start.

      Cheers Mike.

There are some for the Clayton under type wagon as 2″, scale wheel castings, etc from 1980 Model Engineer.

Reeves list a few different designs, Foden, Clayton and Atkinson.

On a smaller 1″scale and less complex there was “MEG” which was in Engineering in Miniature which would be a better bet given your machine sizes
