Yes it brought back wonderful memories of building balsa wood gliders in the 60's, the smell of the glue and the dope, the hours spent cutting out the wood parts with a surgical knife, and the sheer pleasure when you got to fly it for the first time. You forgot the disasters when it crash landed and ruined hours of work, you just picked up the pieces and rebuilt it.
The laser cutter was a marvel to see, but for me part of the pleasure was cutting out these intricate parts and slowly building the whole plane. Perhaps we had more time on our hands in these days. Happy memories!
