I find it easiest to make a four line end of paragraph / line feed / return space. Insert the picture before the second one. Restart the text before the fourth one.
That gives me a positive line space above and below the picture making it easy to edit or add text. If you just insert the picture in line the next text, or picture, insertion point is at the bottom right edge of the picture. Hard to see and harder to find. Due to text line lengths in the new post box being different to the actual post line line length (on my Mac anyway) automatic line wrap can give odd effects. Hate those odd two or three words straight after a picture. I always miss them and have to go back. With positive line feed separators what you see is what you get.
Sometimes I remove the redundant lines before position sometimes I just cant be bothered.
