Can anyone show me what I need to manufacture to make the arbor support bearing (arbor style B) for an Adcock Shipley 1ES? I have the arbor support block that fits on the over-arm but I do not have the assembly for the arbor bearing; I imagine it should have some form of tapered bronze bush and a threaded locking-ring for adjustment. The aperture in the arbor support for the bearing has a parallel diameter of approx. 65.4mm ( I would have anticipated that this would be tapered to allow bearing adjustment?).

If it helps I can photograph, and possibly disassemble, the support bearing for my Adock and Shipley 2E.

Thanks Andrew, that might help. I would be interested to know if the hole in the arbor support on the 2E was machined with a taper or if there was an extra sleeve that was inserted to form the tapered aperture?

Here is my overarm support assembled:

              And disassembled:

The hole in the housing is tapered, about 1/8" larger in diameter at the back.

That will be helpful, Thanks for doing that, Here's what I have:

                AD 1ES arbor support

I see my options as either making a tapered sleeve to fit the parallel hole after I have run a boring-head through it on the AD mill itself, or to taper the hole on the Bridgeport by tilting the head and using a rotary table; although there's not much wall- thickness to play with for that option.

                Thank you for the photos.
